About

My graduate background is in computational linguistics and NLP, my master's thesis was on automated reasoning for semantic representation. My undergrad background is in math, computer science, and philosophy. My current work is in clinical text processing research, working with the latest techniques in NLP research and deploying the results.

This website was developed with YOCaml, a static site builder written for OCaml. I write code and edit text with Spacemacs, making heavy use of Org Mode and Org-roam for knowledge management, document preparation, and time/resource management.

Outside of work I make music, do martial arts (Kyokushin karate and Neijia), hike, bike, and read. My non-NLP interests include philosophy, linguistics, theoretical computer science, math, and eastern studies.
